Hi,
ReplyDeleteWould it be possible to get a python2.5 or 2.6 version of the latest release? I have the latest version of Ubuntu Linux and for some reason python2.4 isn't picking up the pygame class So, for now, I am using the release that was compiled for python2.5.
Thanks
SoundRTS can work with Python 2.4 and the latest version of Ubuntu.
ReplyDeletePrecision: SoundRTS can work with Python 2.4 and the latest STABLE release of Ubuntu (8.10, aka Intrepid Ibex).
ReplyDeleteI have upgraded to the beta of 9.04 which will be officially released at the end of the month. It is the version that is causing the trouble with pygame. I filed a bug, so hopefully they will fix it. For now though, pygame only shows up in 2.5 and 2.6.
ReplyDeleteOK, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI got a response about my bug. They don't want to maintain pygame for all three versions. The bug status was set to "won't fix".
ReplyDeleteOK, the 1.0 beta 10 p (available at http://jlpo.free.fr/soundrts/py25) is compatible with the 1.0. I will provide 2.5 files with the next version, if it is incompatible.
ReplyDeleteNote: the 1.1 branch uses Python 2.5 and pygame 1.8.1.
