[log] SoundRTS 1.1 alpha 5 released

The main changes since 1.1 alpha 4 are:

Team play:
- allied players, including allied victory and allied vision
- available only in the server menu (use a private server for single player games with allied play; computers are not allied by default)
- the single player menu is the same than before (computers are allied by default)

Chat:
- only available in the server lobby and in the pre-game room (not available when selecting the map and the game speed though)
- to say something to everybody in the same room, press S, enter your message and press enter

Maps:
- multiplayer maps are sorted from the smallest one to the biggest (the number of units is taken into account too)
- added maps pm1 to pm6 by Peter Mahach

The AI might be a bit stronger:
- the AI will retaliate only if it is stronger than the attackers
- the AI builds additional townhalls automatically (no need to specify their number in ai.txt)
- the AI builds more than one production building automatically (barracks, workshop, dragons lair...)
- the AI builds where the peasants are
- the aggressive AI researches the upgrades and abilities
- the aggressive AI uses teleportation

Bugs fixed:
- bug fixed: when restoring a game just after the program's launch, the program would freeze
- bug fixed: sometimes when the sawmill was complete, not all the hit points were available


SoundRTS 1.1 and SoundRTS 1.0 should coexist in the same machine without any problem. The settings are also stored in different folders (respectively "SoundRTS unstable" and "SoundRTS 1.0").

About multiplayer games, this version is only compatible with itself. If you modify the rules.txt file or the ai.txt file, you need to send it to your friends if you want to play with them, or they won't find your server.

I get the following warning:
WARNING: recursion error with aggressive; current ai.txt line is: get 9 peasant 50 knight
It doesn't seem to have any effect on game play though.
I was using map OMJ1 in single player mode.

It happens when the AI can't find a way to build what is requested. It freezes the game for less than a second, then the AI stops thinking for a while to let the program work. I'll try to make the AI detect this loop earlier so the game doesn't freeze at all.

hola!, excelente trabajo mi amigo!
una idea solamente, podrías implementar en futuras versiones que el sistema avise cuando atacan a un aliado de nuestro equipo, así para poder ayudarle en caso de necesidad. También, si fuese posible, que se crearan nuevas razas y que se puedan elegir al inicio del juego, en el menú principal después de elegir el servidor.
Podrías hacer que la AI fuese más inteligente, ejemplo, si ya tiene un castillo o ayuntamiento, puede mejorar ese y construir sus bases, para no perder recursos y tiempo construyendo nuevas unidades que son necesarias para tener otras.

Hi... I speak italian, I hope you understand.
La nuova versione di sound rts, mi piace molto, vorrei capire una cosa:
come si deve fare per trasportare le bombe di guardia, o le bombe cannone insieme alle unità tipo cavalieri ecc.
Inoltre, volevo sapere se era possibile implementare altre armi, tipo, mitraglie, cannoni, missili.
Ultima cosa, volevo sapere quando uscirà la prossima release di questo fantastico gioco.

I haven't been able to work on the game for some weeks and I hope I will be able to come back soon.
The guard tower and the cannon tower are buildings, so you cannot transport them.
A game with more modern weapons is probably possible, even if I will focus on programming what is required to customize the rules and explain how to modify the game.

archer, and my ace egersito not nothing kills the keeper one on one, and they do not grab anything! aser that I can protect myself from this attack? acer

Against invisibility, use a flying machine (the new one, called "flying machine", not the "offensive flying machine").
I try to improve the speed of the game but some maps are really big.

hola como puedo utilisar la maquina voladora para defenderme de los atakes imbisible? y como puedo atacar yo a mis enemigos con este tipo de ataque?

The "flying machine" is a detector. Have other units in the same square to do the defense.

To attack using invisibility, build "dark archers" by upgrading archers.

las nuevas modificasiones son muy buenas, realmente es agradable jugar soundrts. Algunas recomendasiones que yo haría, sería por ejemplo: que Para aorrar teclas, si uno aprieta "r" aparezca un cuadro donde puedas elegir la cantidad de soldados razos, si locales y si no de cual casilla. de este modo se podrían añadir mas unidades sin la limitasión física de el teclado. Que se pueda elegir cuales construcciones seleccionar al apretar la "w". Un problema que me ocurre a mí es que cuando tengo un mapa muy grande y juego con varios jugadores se me cuelga el programa. Otra muy buena idea sería poder nombrar como uno quiera grupos, unidades, construcciones y casillas de este modo si quiero seleccionar 5 caballeros 3 hechiseros 2 arqueros y una máquina voladora, pueda incluirlos en un grupo llamado, por ejemplo, defensores a2. Por último sería muy bueno si pudiesen trabajar con jaws. La verdad lejos uno de los mejores audiojuegos que jugué, espero que siga creciendo como hasta ahora lo biene haciendo. grasias por su gran esfuerzo.
